Live-In-Caregiver Needed Immediately seeking a highly reliable Live-in-Caregiver for 45 year-old college educated woman who uses a wheelchair.
Potential roommate may have the opportunity to also work hours while living with her and her cat Paisley.
That possibility will be discussed more in depth at the interview.
The 2-bedroom apartment is specially equipped to meet the person's mobility needs.
The apartment is within the Riverknoll at Radisson community in the outskirts of Baldwinsville.
Candidate would reside rent and utility free and will receive a monthly food stipend in exchange for assisting the person at night.
In order to qualify for these expenses, a Live-in-Caregiver agreement must be signed between both parties which will detail the hours required to be present in the apartment.
The candidate would provide total assistance with basic needs throughout the night.
Responsibilities of the caregiver include repositioning the person in bed, assisting with toileting when needed and dressing in the morning.
Someone who is already in the healthcare field and who is familiar with equipment such as a Sit-to-Stand or Hoyer Lift would be a plus, but not necessary.
Training will be provided on all equipment! Roommate may sleep at night when duties are not needed.
In her spare time, the person enjoys quiet time at home doing activities such adult coloring books and watching sports, especially the SU men's basketball team, as she is an avid fan.
