School Age Teacher - After School

Kool Kidz Daycare Centers is looking for qualified, energetic staff for our Afterschool Program! Our Lead Teachers will be great team-members, have a passion to care for children and a general acumen for implementing arts-based activities and curriculum to children ages 6 to 12 years old.
Teachers should be stable and dependable.

Duties & responsibilities for Teachers include: * Monitor all children under care while parents are at work.
* Ensure children are safe and well behaved.
* Design arts-education projects and other creative activities for children to complete.
* Makes sure classrooms and common areas are clean and organized.
* Oversee recess in/outside and ‘free-play’ time.
* Monitor interactions between children to ensure there are no disputes.
* Provide updates to parents on children’s behavior and progress.
* Administer first aid when necessary.
* Contact parents in the event of an emergency.
* Address and resolve disputes among children.
Minimum Requirements: Must hold a High School Diploma.
Previous experience teaching and working with children.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
Must be detail-oriented.
Other requirements: Must be an excellent communicator.
Good crisis management: must have strong crisis management abilities, being able to remain cool and composed in a crisis.
